Abstract
Fission neutron spectrum averaged cross sections were measured by the activ ation technique in combination with radiochemical separations and high-reso lution gamma-ray spectroscopy for several (n,2n), (n,p) and (n,alpha) react ions on isotopes of ruthenium. Of special interest was the investigation of Ru-96(n,p)Tc-96 reaction for the production of Tc-96 in a nuclear reactor. Using enriched Ru-96 target, 4.3 MBq Tc-96 per batch can be produced which does not seem feasible from medical application point of view.
