Abstract
A problem of evaporation and condensation for a two-phase system of va por gas and its condensed phase is investigated on the basis of discre te kinetic theory. Boundary conditions on the interface are proposed a nd discussed. Then, using some particular models, analytical and numer ical solutions are presented for the two surface evaporation/condensat ion problem. The inverted temperature profile mentioned by several aut hors is brought to the fore and analysed.
