Abstract
Agrochelin (1), a new cytotoxic thiazole alkaloid, has been isolated from t he fermentation broth of a marine unicellular bacterium belonging to genus Agrobacterium, Its structure was determined from spectral data and chemical transformations. Agrochelin showed chelating properties to the Zn2+ ion. ( C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
