Abstract
An acidic toxic extract from the sea urchin T. pileolus inhibited time-depe ndent Ca-45(2+) uptake in chick P-2 fraction (IC50 about 10 ng/ml). This to xic extract is susceptible to trypsin. The inhibitory effect probably relat e to Na+/Ca2+ exchanger. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved .
