Abstract
Using transfer matrix method with rate equations and couple wave theory, th e static and dynamic analysis of 3PS-DFB and QPS-DFB diodes are presented. With vector processing rather than NR algorithm, carrier density and photon density distribution of the two structures biased at different levels were obtained, and hence the AM response of these devices with a new dynamic mo del are analyzed.
