Abstract
Branch structure of carbon nanotubes was found in the specimen prepared by pyrolysis of hydrocarbon in two different ways. Morphological and structura l aspects of these as-grown tubes were investigated by TEM. The topographic defects related to the branches were discussed and can be considered as a modification for the graphine network.
