S. Wang et al., THE DISSIPATION OF LAMBDA-CYHALOTHRIN FROM COTTON PRODUCTION SYSTEMS, Journal of environmental science and health. Part B. Pesticides, food contaminants, and agricultural wastes, 32(3), 1997, pp. 335-352
The dissipation of the pyrethroid, lambda-cyhalothrin (2-chloro-3,3,3-
trifluoroprop-1-enyl)-2,2-dimethyl cyclopropanecarboxylate] was studie
d in sterile buffer solution at two different pH values. It was observ
ed that during the four week period, lambda-cyhalothrin was degraded i
n buffer solution at pH 9, with a half-life of 53 days, but not at pH
7. Isomerization of this compound was also observed at both pH values,
but the rate was much greater at pH 9.
