Abstract
Impregnated polyester arterial prostheses have gained wide acceptance by mo st vascular surgery teams, probably because these prostheses are easy to us e, without any preclotting. We offer here a synthesis of the main studies t hat have appraised the experimental and clinical performance of these prost heses, and we delineate their major prospects.
