Abstract
The Lower Precambrian II (PKII Inf) cover of Bou-Azzer Elgraara inlier represents an element of a Pan-African passive margin. Evolution of t his cover records three stages: a) A shallow platform with siliciclast ic and carbonate deposits, b) A rifting stage with a tholeiitic volcan ism, c) A deep-water turbidite deposits with sparse bimodal volcanism and hydrothermal activity. This evolution testifies to an extensive ma rgin related to Pre-Pan-African rifting.
