D. Friedecky et al., New techniques in diagnostics by capillary electrophoresis of hereditary disorders of purine and pyrimidine metabolism, CHEM LISTY, 93(8), 1999, pp. 528-532
Purine and pyrimidine compounds were analyzed by capillary electrophoresis
in urine of patients with inherited disorders purine and pyrimidine metabol
ism. Two separation of systems (alkaline-anionic and acid-cationic mode) ha
ve been compared. The use of a strongly acidic background electrolyte (pH 1
.8) improves the selectivity and informative pithiness of the method. A com
bination of both anionic and cationic modes increases the reliability of di
agnosis in hereditary disorders.
