Abstract
An expanded analysis of the original Spiritual Experience Index yielde d two distinct dimensions. The item groupings with the highest factor loadings were identified as the Spiritual Support and the Spiritual Op enness subscales. The analysis provided preliminary evidence for the i nternal consistency and construct validity of SS and SO. The possibili ties of using scare scores on both dimensions to categorize individual s into four spiritual types were also explored.
