Abstract
A method in which 2D sheet-impedance elements are used to represent the fin ite-size dielectric substrate of an ungrounded PCB within a full wave 3D mo ment-method analysis (MoM) is presented. The use of these 2D elements signi ficantly reduces both the core-memory demands and the CPU requirements of t he MoM by an order of magnitude, with little compromise in accuracy.
