Abstract
A polymeric wavelength division multiplexer based on a new double reflectiv
e grating structure (DRG) is presented for the first time. A four-channel d
evice with a channel spacing of 200GHz (1.6nm) has been designed and realis
ed for application within the low cost datacoms market. The device exhibits
a 3dB/20dB passband ratio of 48%, which is over twice that of a standard s
ingle element grating device.
