Abstract
A high-performance 1 x 8 digital thermo-optic (TO) switch that uses silicon e resin waveguides has been developed. The compact 40 mm long switch uses s hort Y-branching switches with a large branching angle. it has a low insert ion loss of < 3dB and a low crosstalk of < -40 dB at 1550 nm.
