The present paper deals with a study of the effect of replacement of Pb2+ i
ons by Ba2+ and Sr2+ ions in a discrete series Pb0.88Ba0.08Sr0.04TixZr1-xO3
With 0.2 < x < 0.55, X-ray studies were carried out. The temperature depen
dencies of the pyroelectric coefficient in a dynamic regime, the capacitanc
e and the conductivity were determined. The additional maxima corresponding
to the isostructural transition from a low temperature rhombohedral to a h
igh-temperature phase were obtained on the temperature curve of the pyroele
ctric coefficient. OF particular interest is the composition with the PbTiO
3 content of 0.34 mol% having the high value of pyroelectric coefficient d(
T-room) similar to 7 x 10(4) C/(m(2) x K).
