The expected effects from CP violation in neutral B decays in the framework
of the Standard Model are reviewed. Time dependent rates and asymmetries a
re presented with emphasis on their observability at recently proposed B fa
ctories. Detectors and methods to extract CP asymmetry parameters are prese
nted, including techniques for flavour tagging and data fits. The expected
performance of an e(+)e(-) and a hadron beam experiment is illustrated with
the most promising: final states J/psi K-s(0) and pi(+)pi(-).
