Abstract
The species on the surface and in the inner layers of the plasma-sprayed ti tanium coating of the endosseous implant were investigated using XRD, XPS, SEM measurements. The presence of TiO2 sub-oxides, titanium metal as well a s carbon and water/hydroxide species were shown on the surface of the titan ium coating.
