ANALYSIS ON MONITORING CRUST MOVEMENT BY USING GPS IN QINGHAI-XIZANG PLATEAU

Based on the analysis of the 1993 and 1995 GPS data acquired from crus t movement and deformation monitoring in the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, t he following preliminary conclusions could be drawn: the levelly movin g rate and direction of the land massifs in the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau tally with the viewpoint generally held by geologists and geophysicis ts in recent years; the accuracy of monitoring crust movement has reac hed the world advanced level; the result has provided valuable and rel iable information to the quantitative analysis of the modern crust mov ement and deformation in the plateau.
