Abstract
How does the CD45 tyrosine phosphatase regulate Src-family kinase activity in vivo? Here, Jonathan Ashwell and Ugo D'Oro discuss evidence that, contra ry to the widely accepted model, CD45 can actually inhibit the activity of some Src-family kinases by dephosphorylating the positive regulatory tyrosi ne in the activation loop of the catalytic region.
