Abstract
A boundary layer analysis is Presented for the fluid flow and hear transfer characteristics of an incompressible micropolar fluid flowing over a plane moving surface in parallel or in reverse to the free stream. The isotherma l boundary condition has been treated in this paper. The resulting system o f non-linear ordinary differential equations is solved by the multi-stage c ontinuous Runge-Kutta method with shooting techniques. Numerical results ar e obtained for the velocity, angular velocity and temperature distributions . The results indicate that micropolar fluids display drag reduction and he at transfer reduction characteristics.
