Abstract
In this paper, the influence of heat treatment on tensile properties and fr acture characteristics of dispersion strengthened copper is examined. Heat treating the alloy in the as-drawn condition was found to have little influ ence on grain structure and intrinsic microstructural features. The strengt h of the material decreases with heat treatment with a concomitant improvem ent in ductility. The material maintains a high value of yield strength ret ention ratio.
