Abstract
Descriptions of females of the ten known eastern North American species of Chimarra are given and an identification key provided. Diagnostic character s are evident in the thickness of veins at the first fork of the radial sec tor in each forewing and in the shapes of the spermathecal sclerite and ven tral plates beyond abdominal sternum VIII. A summary of published distribut ional records is provided for all Chimarra species of eastern North America .
