Abstract
Specific features of the formation of the titanium dioxide structure doped by sulfate ions are studied. Sulfate ions and water molecules enter the ana tase structure to form the fragments of the titanyl sulfate type. This resu lts in a significant decrease in the lattice parameter c, the disturbance o f the cation distribution, and the appearance of microdistortions in the st ructure.
