Abstract
Dnacin A(1) and B-1 were revealed to be new naphthyridinomycin-type an titumor antibiotics with formulae of C20H23N5O4 and C19H24N4O5, respec tively. The gross structure of dnacin A(1) was elucidated by the spect roscopic analyses. Conversion of dnacin B-1 into A(1) by treatment wit h potassium cyanide indicated the presence of an alpha-carbinolamine m oiety in dnacin B-1. The relative stereochemistry of dnacins was clari fied by analysis of the NOESY spectra.
