Abstract
This work considers steady, laminar, hydromagnetic simultaneous heat and ma ss transfer by mixed convection flow over a permeable vertical plate immers ed in a uniform porous medium for the cases of power law variations of both the wall temperature and concentration and the wall heat flux and mass flu x. Appropriate transformations are employed to transform the governing diff erential equations to a nonsimilar form. The transformed equations are solv ed numerically by an accurate, implicit, iterative, finite difference metho d. The obtained results are validated by favorable comparisons with previou sly published work on special cases of the problem. A parametric study illu strating the influence of all involved parameters on the local Nusselt and Sherwood numbers is conducted. The results of this parametric study are sho wn graphically, and the physical aspects of the problem are discussed.
