Abstract
The energy of intermolecular interactions E-i.i. in polyimides is shown to be a link between the structure of the polyamic acid and polyimide macromol ecules and the properties of the material. The effect of geometry of dianhy dride and diamine fragments of the macromolecule on the set of deformationa l and strength characteristics, the ability of the material to soften and d issolve in polar aprotic solvents and, to a lesser extent, on thermal and t hermal-oxidative degradation of the material is revealed through this energ etical parameter.
