Abstract
The genus Retitribrevicolporites was established by Kar in 1985 to accommod ate Lakiapollis matanomadhensis, whereas this species was united with the e arlier Tricolporopollis by Tripathi & H. P. Singh in 1985. The latter taxon omic treatment is here confirmed. Tricolporopollis presently comprises four named species known only from Indian Tertiary (Palaeocene to Eocene) sedim ents. Its possible relation to fossil pollen from other areas is unknown.
