Abstract
A new dimeric diterpenoid grandione (1), has been isolated from Torreya gra ndis Fort. and its structure elucidated by spectroscopic and chemical analy sis. Grandione is a heptacyclic rearranged abietane-type dimer. Dynamic HPL C (DHPLC) studies showed the presence of a tautomeric equilibrium in soluti on between 1 and its enolic form 1a.
