Abstract
The projected shell model is applied to the nuclei (186)pb, Pb-188 and Pb-1 90. The low-lying prolate bands of them are calculated and the results are compared with experimental data, the low-lying bandheads of these three nuc lei are predicted, the reliability of this prediction is validated when we apply this model to the nucleus Hg-186 and it gives a satisfactory agreemen t with the experimental data.
