Abstract
Eight species belonging to the Family Cruciferae mere classified to lafmine r resistant, tolerant and susceptible on the basis of Leafminer infestation . They were analyzed far the glucosinolate content and correlated with leaf miner infestation. Total glucosinolate content in general and sinigrin content in particular a ppeared to have the ability to repel the attack of Liriomyza brassicae, whi le gluconapin appeared to attract them. The percentage of infestation, the number of mines and the number of living larvae mere estimated for evaluati ng the glucosinolate efficacy against L. brassicae on cabbage.
