"Murri" (Antioquia Department, Colombia): hotspot for neotropical blueberries (Ericaceae : Vaccinieae)

A taxonomic review of the Vaccinieae (Ericaceae) from the region known as M urri' (Antioquia Department, Colombia) is presented. This area has the high est generic and specific diversity of Vaccinieae known in the Neotropics, w ith 10 genera and 45 species. Cavendishia antioquiensis, C. viridiflora, Ps ammisia citrina, and P. mediobullata are newly described and illustrated. C avendishia sessiliflora and Satyria latifolia an redescribed from complete collections. Pollination by hummingbirds in neotropical Vaccinieae is discu ssed and nectar content is reported for the first time for 26 species.
