Abstract
Poly(1-methoxyiminotrimethylene) 5 and poly[(1-methoxyiminotrimethylene)-co -(1-methoxyimino-3-methyltrimethylene)] 6, prepared by reaction of ethene/p ropene-carbon monoxide alternating copolymers with methoxylamine, undergo a -substitution on treatment with BuLi followed by addition of electrophiles such as MeI.
