Abstract
This paper reports the Ferroelectric and Piezoelectric properties of lantha num doped lead barium niobate ceramics with formula Pbx-3y/2 Ba1-x La-y Nb- 2 O-6. Piezoelectric properties showed a strong enhancement at morphotrophi c phase boundary between tetragonal and orthorhombic phases, d(33) value of 350 pc/N obtained is highest so far reported for this ceramic. K-t value i s also very high.
