Abstract
Observations on the morphometry of heart of non-descript breed of indigenou s deer are presented. The heart on an average weighed 147.50 +/- 17.619 g. The cranio-caudal borders length ratio was 10:8. The circumference at coron ary groove was 21.00 +/- 1.225 cm. The right and left longitudinal grooves anastomosed with each other 2.32 +/- 0.269 cm above the apex of the heart o n the right side. The right and left walls and inter-ventricular septum wer e thickest(6.58, 14.33 and 14.33 mm) in the middle and thinnest (4.92, 6.58 and 8.50 mm) at lower third of the ventricles. The right oscordis was comp letely ossified while left remained cartilagenous.
