Abstract
The X-ray crystal structures of 6 beta-toluene-p-sulfonyloxymethyl-5 beta-h ydroxy-B-norandrostane-3,17-dione (7) and 6 beta-methoxycarbonyl-3 beta,5 b eta-dihydroxy-B-norandrostan-17-one (8) reveal that ring A exists in a twis ted boat form in these 5 beta-B-norandrostanes.
