Abstract
Nocardia nova, an agent previously included in the N asteroides complex, ca n cause chronic swellings and draining tracts in cats.) Isolates of N nova from cats may be susceptible in vitro to ampicillin, ami kacin, doxycycline, erythromycin, imipenem, kanamycin sulfate, minocycline, sulfasoxazole, and trimethoprim-sulfonamide combinations.
