This paper deals with further developments of the kinetic modelling of the
cellular dynamics of tumors interacting with an active immune defence syste
m in the presence of cytokine signals. The contents is developed in the fra
mework of the so-called cellular kinetic theory which leads to a modelling
based on methods which are similar to those of nonlinear statistical mechan
ics. The model proposed here takes into account spontaneous activation of t
umor cells and the effects of medical therapies aimed at deactivating the t
umor and/or activating the immune system. The simulation presented shows th
at the possible scenarios that can be reproduced by the model are those exp
erimentally observed.
