We investigate possible strategies to reduce the experimental uncertainty o
n the CKM angle alpha, in the working conditions of an asymmetric e(+)e(-)
B-factory. We propose to use information from the time-dependent asymmetry
of neutral B-decays to pi(+)pi(-), together with the ratio Gamma(<(B-0)over
bar> --> pi(+)K(-))/Gamma(<(B-0)over bar> --> pi(+)pi(-)). We also conside
r the possibility of using information on the ratio Gamma(<(B-0)over bar> -
-> pi(+)pi(-))/Gamma(<(B-0)over bar> --> pi(+)pi(-)). An error analysis on
alpha depending on the expected experimental uncertainties on the input qua
ntities is carried out.
