Abstract
A new method is proposed to break the electroweak symmetry group SU(2) x U( 1) x U(1) to U-em(1) at the electroweak symmetry breaking scale. Generalisi ng the known quadratic and quartic sum rules to include the Z' boson, we ca lculate the value of the masses to be M-H similar or equal to 203.6 +/- 9.7 GeV and M-z' similar or equal to 221.0 +/- 7.1 GeV.
