Abstract
Chinese cabbage plants (Brassica pekinensis [Lour] Rupr. cv. Nagaoka 50) we re grown in Granada - Spain. The plots were covered with semiforcing floati ng mulch (Polyethylene: T-1; Polypropylene: T-2) or control left uncovered (T-0) Five samplings were carried out and on the fresh plant material ascor bic acid oxidase, catalase, peroxidase, polyphenol oxidase, and ribonucleas e enzymatic activities were determined. The optimum foliar range of these b iochemical markers was established.
