Abstract
Responses of twelve tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill) cultivars: Bufalo (control), Corindon, Dombelo, GC-773, GC-775, Nancy, Nea, Sarky, Yunque, V olcani, 617/83 and 2084/81 grown under controlled greenhouse conditions, to macronutrients, ionic balance, foliar pigments. The response of the cultiv ars is compared with that of a control cultivar (Bufalo), one of the most w idely used varieties in the study area. The optimum levels for each cultiva r differed in the different parameters analyzed: foliar pigments, ionic bal ance and physiological indices.
