Abstract
Two new arsenates with general formula A(II)(ZaAsO(4))(2) (A=Sr, Ba) were s ynthetized by solid state reaction. Furthermore, a high pressure form. of B a(ZnPO4)(2) was obtained under hydrothermal conditions. Indexing of their X -ray diffractograms was carried out with a monoclinic unit-cell and space g roup P2(1)/c. These compounds are isostructural with Sr(ZnPO4)(2) and the p aracelsian form of Ba(AlSiO4)2. (C) 1999 International Centre for Diffracti on Data. [S0885-7156(98)00704-0].
