THE ICDD PDF SUPERCONDUCTOR SUBFILE

The activity of the high T-c task group of the ICDD Ceramic Subcommitt ee is described. This activity includes the compilation of X-ray powde r diffraction patterns of the high T-c superconductors and related pha ses identified from the International Centre for Diffraction Data/Powd er Diffraction File (ICDD/PDF). The coverage of this ICDD/PDF Supercon ductor SubFile (SC) includes high T-c phases and their structurally re lated phases, products of elemental substitution in the high T-c phase s, phases found in the phase diagrams containing the high T-c phases, as well as potential reaction products with commonly used sample conta iners, and potential conventional low-temperature (metallic and nonmet allic) superconductors.
