Data on the existing electrolyzer designs and possible electrode processes
occurring in electrochemical preparation of graphite hydrogen sulfate are a
nalyzed. On this basis, requirements are formulated to an electrochemical r
eactor for continuous processing of disperse carbon materials to give graph
ite intercalation compounds. Estimation calculations of parameters are done
for transport and oxidation of graphite with the aim of obtaining graphite
hydrogen sulfate with various stages of intercalation. An electrolyzer des
ign is described, ensuring preparation of graphite intercalation compounds
in continuous automated mode.
