Abstract
[Cp'MoCl4(CH3CN)] (Cp' = C5H4Me) reacts with 2,4,6-triisopropylphenylp hosphane or cyclohexylphosphane to give the phosphane complexes [Cp'Mo Cl4(PH2R)] [R = 2,4,6-(Pr3C6H2)-C-i (1), Cy (2)]. 1 and 2 were charact erized spectroscopically (IR, MS) and by crystal structure determinati ons. EPR investigations in Liquid and frozen solution confirmed the pr esence of Mo(V) species and the data were used to analyze the spin-den sity distribution in the first coordination sphere.
