Abstract
This work deals with the influence of the temperature of the solution- annealing treatment applied to welded and unwelded tubes of IN 718 whi ch are used for bellows. The microstructural processes taking place du ring the solution treatment are characterized for two different starti ng conditions (sheet and flow formed tubes, respectively). The cyclic strength is measured by means of cyclic bending tests with respect to the grain size which itself depends on the temperature of the solution annealing.
