Abstract
The aleocharine tribe Pseudoperinthini is redescribed, the definition refin ed, and a key to genera provided. The genera Indinthus, Austrointhus, Pseud operinthus, and Malayinthus are redescribed and keys to all species are pro vided. Indinthus kedahensis (Malaysia), I. selangorensis (Malaysia); Austro inthus giganteus, A. nuttingi A. monteferreus, A. pastinator, and A. torres i all from Australia; Pseudoperinthus koiari, P. jacobsoni both from Austra lia; Malayinthus bulbitermitis (Malaysia and Indonesia, Sumatra), M. johore nsis (Malaysia), M. luzonicus (Philippines), M. thailandicus (Thailand), M. utarensis (Indonesia, Sulawesi), are all described as new species. All pre viously known species are redescribed and new distribution records for some of them are provided. The behavior and cladistics of the group are briefly described and illustrated.
