Abstract
The control of nitrogen has become extremely important in view of its influ ence in deep drawability of low carbon steel. The process of absorption and desorption of nitrogen in steel is controlled by not so well understood in terfacial reactions. Basic phenomena of nitrogen pick up and removal has be en reviewed in thp present paper.
