Abstract
The medical community as a whole is aware that patients show variable respo nses to drug treatments but physicians currently lack efficient tools to pr edict these drug responses and to select appropriate treatments. Coupling o ur knowledge of genetic polymorphisms with clinical-response data promises a bright future for rapid advances in personalized medicine.
