Abstract
Complications after IM injection are rare. Only few cases need emergency op erative treatment. This case report shows the exclusive situation of a glut eal compartment syndrome caused by a hematoma. Clinical findings showed sig ns of nerve compression with sciatic pain. Only immediate surgical treatmen t prevented persistent nerve or muscle tissue damage.
